What types of cloth diapers should I use? This one is all personal preference. Do you want the ease and convenience of disposables? You might prefer all-in-ones or all-in-twos. All-in-ones can take a long time to dry, so you will want to keep that in mind if you go with a small stash or decide to line dry. If you are comfortable going more old school and want to save money, flats or prefolds with covers are a good way to go.

Cloth Toilet Paper April 3, by Kathleen Quiring 69 Comments The other day I noticed we were on our last roll of toilet paper, so of course I added it to the grocery list on the fridge. The Truth About Cloth Diapers
A diaper sprayer is basically a hose that you can hook up to your toilet to help spray the poop off of cloth diapers when your baby starts eating solid food. Once you introduce solids it becomes a stinky, peanut buttery explosion that will clog up your washing machine or drains. Therefore you should start spraying the poop into the toilet. I attempted to use our shower head but had zero success. This thing obliterates it!
My husband and I are having a debate on whether or not to cloth diaper when we have kids. I don’t think it’s a bad idea, but I’d love your input.
Clair-Louise I’m so surprised how much I like this. I bought it when it first came out and originally thought it too cloying and gave a large bottle away to my male best friend who loved it to wear for himself. However could not get it out of my head and about a year later bought some more. Now I’m converted and think this is glamorous and seductive perfume and yes it me feel like a sexy Italian not french actress Dec AnnabellLee I love this scent especially in cooler weather.
Its elegant but not oveoverwhelming. I get almond, creamy, orange and green tea. Nov socorrosouza On me it is not a screamer but it has definitely moderate sillage, everybody compliments me when I am wearing it, this scent is a mood lifter with its notes of vanilla and clementines don’t pick much of the almond flower. Lasts for 4 to 6 hours, but what an incredible perfume.
Nov smellymouse This is not strong enough. I would love this perfume but I almost dislike it for having weak sillage and limited longevity. The EDP smell disappears in less than 2 hours the length of most movies, I suppose on a mild day.

How times have changed. Disposable diapers have changed too. Oh How I Love Thee…Mr./ Sprayer!
I prefer the sprayer, it attaches right to your toilet water line and installs in a few minutes. As long as you got most of the poop off the diaper you’ll be fine though. I second not using bleach water for diapers, it breaks them down and I honestly wouldn’t want the bleach residue on my kids skin.
Dump any solids (use flushable liners to make it even easier!) or spray with a diaper sprayer before putting in dry pail, wet bag, or hanging wet bag. Breastfed newborn poop is water-soluble and can be put directly into the washer.
The use of mainstream detergents is against the warranty of several diaper companies Bum Genius and Thirsties. However, that being said I would rather have clean diapers above all else. The health of my baby’s bum is more important than a warranty. Most are a combination of Oxiclean, Borax and Washing Soda. None of these are surfectants that actually remove the soil and suspend it until it can be washed away and as such the soil can often be redeposited on the diapers causing bacteria producing stink.
Recipes that include bar soap on the other hand will leave soap scum in your diapers, which can cause repelling and leave soap scum in your washing machine. I believe that bleach plays an important role in cloth diapering. Notice I don’t mention keeping a wet pail with bleach solution as this is a safety hazard for children and can greatly reduce the life of PUL and elastics.
Bleaching should be done with sanitizing bleach see paragraph on buying bleach at a ratio of 1 tbs bleach to 1 gallon cold water. It should be done after the diapers have been washed and at a cold temperature bleach breaks down in hot water.
